ABOUT 

Michael Bulychev-Okser is an internationally acclaimed

American pianist, composer, pedagogue, and producer.

Hailed by New York Times as “enticing and brilliant”, Michael has

performed thousands of solo, chamber, and orchestral concerts on

some of the world’s most prestigious stages, including Carnegie Hall,

Merkin Hall (New York), Kennedy Center (Washington, D.C.),

La Salle Pleyel (Paris), Wigmore Hall (London), Heichal Hatarbut (Tel Aviv),

The Saal Palace (Alexandria), IBK Concert Hall (Seoul), and Centermex Theater (Monterrey).

Bulychev-Okser has collaborated with conductors including Kynan Johns, Jose Miguel Rodilla, and Robert Lehrbaumer. He also has extensive discography and forthcoming releases with Odradek and Convivium Records. An avid chamber musician, Michael Bulychev-Okser collaborated with Yuja Wang, Olga Kern, Daniel Pollack, Shlomo Mintz, Albert Markov, Miriam Davis, Raphael Wallfisch, and Colin Carr.

Michael is a guest artist at numerous music

festivals, competitions, and concert series in England, France,

Germany, Italy, Spain, Netherlands, Poland, Mexico, Israel,

Estonia, Latvia, Georgia, Ukraine, Austria, Finland, Lithuania,

South Korea, China, Serbia, Singapore, and the United States.

22/23 highlights include orchestral engagements with Shlomo Mintz,

solo recitals in France, Italy, and Spain, and masterclasses at

Chopin University in Warsaw and Catholic University in Washington, D.C.

A recipient of “Who’s Who in Music”, Bulychev-Okser has been featured on CBS and Channel 12,

WQXR and WWFM radio stations, in addition to international media: TV3 (Estonia),

RAI 1 (Italy), TV1 (Russia), and Nippon TV (Japan).

As a producer, Bulychev-Okser organizes various international music events:

Gershwin International Music competition in New York and Classical Hugs Music Festival

in Estonia.

Michael Bulychev-Okser is a Professor of Piano and

Chamber Ensembles at Lucy Moses School of The Kaufman Music

Center in New York.
