6th Gershwin Piano Competition - Young Artists - Semifinal

Day 3 of the Gershwin International Music Competition presents Young Artists - pianists ages 7-17, who will perform Gershwin, Bach, Mozart, Chopin, and other composers. Each performance is 20 minutes long and includes miniature works, where technical brilliance, musical sensitivity, and temperament matter the most. Music does not know age, and this young accelerates will bring a tremendous show.

The Competition is named after George Gershwin, whose music had long been a part of the American consciousness. Truly a pioneer in his field, George Gershwin drew inspiration from European classical music, American popular music, and jazz to form a unique style that would come to define American music.
