About the event
Day 2 of the Gershwin International Music Competition presents Concert Artists - pianists from 22 countries around the world, who will perform Gershwin, Bach, Mozart, Chopin, and other composers. Each performance is 20 minutes long and includes miniature works, where technical brilliance, musical sensitivity, and temperament matter the most. This day is remarkable as the Jury will make their decision about who is advancing into the competition's Final Round.
George Gershwin International Music Competition aims to discover talent, reward brilliance, and celebrate musical artistry.
The Competition is named after George Gershwin, whose music had long been a part of the American consciousness. Truly a pioneer in his field, George Gershwin drew inspiration from European classical music, American popular music, and jazz to form a unique style that would come to define American music.
Offering international talents performance opportunities, the competition aims to universalize George Gershwin's extraordinary legacy around the world.…
